High Tensile Prestressed PC Steel Wire for Concrete Reinforcement is supplied following the standard of ASTM, BS, DIN or per customers’s options. The tensile strength ranges from 1470Mpa-1860Mpa.
According to the tensile strength, pc wire can be classified as: 1470MPa, 1570MPa, 1670MPa, 1770MPa and 1860MPa.
Uses:
Cold drawn steel wire for prestressed concrete strand: Used in prestressed concrete structure reinforced, such as large-span bridges on railway and highway, overhead crane beam, rock-soil anchoring project, multi-storey industrial buildings, stadiums, coal mines and etc.
PC wire, galvanized, ASTM A416-10, 270k, low relaxation, is used for bridge suspension wire and stay-cable applications.
PE coated / covered steel strand: Suitable for large-span and large bays cast-in-place concrete floor, large load of precast beams and other special structure.
Wire Strand Diameter: 4.00mm-12.00mm.

Description
Strand shall be made from cold-drawn non-alloy steel (high carbon content) wires. The Seven-wire strand consists of a group of single wires arranged in stranded formation.
Geometrical Properties
The seven-wire strand shall have the following geometrical properties:

Nominal diamater of strand: 7.9 mm (7/2.6 mm)
Tolerance on the nominal diamater of strand: +0.4 mm
Nominal cross-sectional area of strand: 37.4mm2
Mechanical Properties
Nominal mass of strand: 294 g/m
Minimum Breaking Load: 64.50 kN
0.2% proof load: 54.70 kN
Long-term behaviour
Maximum relaxation after 1000h of operation at initial load equivalent to 60%, 70% and 80%
of breaking load shall be as per IS 6006-1983 (Amendment January 1988)
Technological properties
The finished materials shall be free from defects, which may have occurred at any stage of manufacture, to a dergee that would impair the performance as a per-stressing tendon.
Rusted steels, apart form those with a thin film of rust, shall not be supplied.
The normal production length may contain welds made in individual wires before drawing, but shall not contain any welds made during or after wire drawing. Not more than one weld shall be permitted in any 50m of strand. The strand-forming operations and the stress-relieving treatment shall ensure that the wires do not unravel when the strand is cut.
